Joni's Pages

The poet and artist whose work you'll find here, Joni L. Stevens, died in 1969 from a rapidly growing lymphatic cancer that took her from seemingly perfect health to her death in a short 8 months.  She understood the need to "Love", the values of "Life", the importance of knowing a strong "Faith" and the challenges that each of them hold for us.  The poems she left behind for us express the thoughts of a young mind that has been given the ultimate challenge and as difficult as it must have been, she accepted her fate and never openly questioned the hand she had been dealt.
Her message is one that each of us should endeavor to follow.
